Lilith was the first wife of Adam… the first woman before Eve. She is a woman made of wild who revealed all that was inside of her: opinions, anger, wisdom, power, deep unconditional love. And she was demonized because she was equal to a man. Thus, she was banished from the Garden of Eden. She rules the underworld… she loves the demons in us that we often find so hard to love. She is forever forgiving, emanating a truly authentic grace that is not from the light. She is the first goddess archetype I have worked with and has shown me that everything I was taught about light and dark was a completely fear-based illusion. All I’ll say is this: if you don’t own your own shadows (which is the unconscious aspect of the light) it will own you.
